My recent work
nurture your furniture
For my graduation project I created a brand expansion for Studio3000, an up and coming studio space, event space and furniture rental. Focusing on the matter of taking better care of our furniture at home, By taking up on this matter I came up with the concept of ‘Nurture your Furniture’ an event hosted by studio3000 gathering people to connect and discover the brand while also understanding and learning the importance of nurturing our furniture pieces at home and creating stronger connections with them.
Dirtbags by Tommy jeans
During my minor Fashion & Denim at Amsterdam Fashion Instiitute I created a sub-brand for Tommy Jeans together with Boris Naish where I conducted the communication and visualization of the sub-brand. DIRTBAGS X Tommy Jeans is preppy with a grunge twist, To show that dirty can be done clean. It’s not just a look but a way of life. During the making of this sub-brand I developed my technical expertise, artistic vision, and critical thinking skills.
L’amour propre
During my 2nd year at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute I made a fictional collaboration together with Thijs Van Halteren for Acne Studios.
L’amour Propre X Acne Studios. For this collaboration we created all the elements of a Brand expansion; vision, mission, value, USP, products, logo, communication and the retail environment. Which are adjusted to the specific needs and values of the target group.
A collection that consists of ideas and fantasies of a night out with a lot of movement, dancing, feeling sexy and extraordinary. Each product presents a touch of roughness and sensuality with the use of Leather, mesh and roughly knitted wool fabrics with loose threads and ripped pieces.
A social and inspiring driven environment. Attributes itself with a unique approach to experimentation with the link between design and sensualism.
Besides the focus on design, there will be other elements to form a meaning and connection behind the collection. Video tapes or written words - texts on the floors and walls, personal stories argument self-esteem, pleasure and vulnerability as well as the items being worn by different people.
Fashion & Visual Culture minor, Dyptich assignment
Although we may aspire to present a neat and flawless appearance in our behavior at work or in life, it's important to recognize that what we see on the surface may not reflect the chaos and sloppiness that may exist in someone's personal life.
As part of my Minor in Fashion & Visual Culture, I created a Dyptich using a photograph from the Nanushka Spring 2022 Ready-to-wear collection (on the left) to depict the lifestyle of someone whose personal struggles are not always visible from the outside. The image inspired me to portray their morning routine.
A short fashion film created for the AMFI fashion and visual culture program. Addressing the topic of loneliness by following the journey of a 25 year old analogue film developer. Where the main character is confronted with his loneliness with regards to family, friends and love.
Throughout the creation of this film, I was responsible for crafting the concept, creating the graphic design, overseeing set design, and directing the actors and videographers throughout the entire filmmaking journey.
